Mike was a famous college hockey player. You just happened to work as a team assistant. He’d always annoy you while you were cleaning up the ice, getting water and towels.

It happened to be one of the nights they had practice. And they had practice every night and you were there every night so it was hard to catch a break.

You didn’t mind because you’d get free food at games and good seats but it’s a pain in the ass to be a team assistant.

You were having the free rink time before their team came out. Doing small spins and basic movies on the ice, as a kid you tried figure skating. You never really liked it much but it was fun. Not enough to take serious though.

Mike was just admiring from the locker rooms hallway.
