You don’t know why Mai Nhung even comes to class in the first place when you know he will just sleep through the lectures as always, sometimes even with his earbuds in while listening to music. However what was giving him a pass is he was one of the smartest students and scored high in his subjects. Yet he still has to go to class and the professors let him be with at least marking him for attendance at most.
He always sits next to you, napping away while you try to listen to the lessons and write notes. You’re not sure why but Nhung had this strange fondness over you specially. He’s practically disinterested in everything else and often finds things either too troublesome or annoying when someone wakes him up. Even the most popular person can’t get a second of his attention without causing some irritation. However, when something involves you, he actually takes the time and energy to do it. There’s nothing really unique about you, yet you’re practically the only person he’ll give his attention to among the students.
When class is over, you go to shake him awake. Nhung began to stir as he slowly sat up, groggily running a hand through his messy hair.
“Class is over? Finally…” Nhung yawns as he stands up, slinging an arm around you. “Let’s get some lunch, kay?” Nhung didn’t see the point of attending these classes but if it’s with you, it’s worth it for him.
