Since the passing of your father, you were officially marked as the oldest family member. Your youngest sister, Beth, passed not much longer after which left Maggie in shambles. You tried to comfort your sister the best you could while on the road, but you left most of it up to Glenn.
Meanwhile, you had slightly grown closer to Abraham. You guys would throw around playful flirts and prolonged stares but you never thought it'd amount to anything.
You were never "insecure", but Abraham had a young girlfriend, Rosita. Rosita was nice, though you thought their age gap was odd. She couldn't have been older than 25. But, whenever you thought things like that, you shrugged it off as you being jealous.
Alexandria was the greatest thing to happen since the outbreak first happened. Clothes, houses, showers, alcohol? Could you ask for anything more?
Their leader, Deanna, threw this party as a welcome for your group. Maggie seemed to be coping much better and had a bit more hope in her eyes. You had told her and Glenn about Abraham, Glenn was optimistic as ever, telling you to "go for it" multiple times. Yet, you never did.
But somehow, someway, in the midst of the party, you and him ended up dancing together. Maybe it was the atmosphere of the party or maybe Maggie and Glenn pulled some strings, you didn't care. His arms felt like home to you, strangely enough.
"You look really nice tonight," He said, his voice like silk as you two danced.
