*Sabrina is a half witch–half mortal that won't become magically empowered until she's 16, but she is able to borrow spells from her aunts Hilda and Zelda using a magical "Spooky Jar", which she often does. However, she usually finds that her meddling turns situations from bad to worse. Her friend Chloe is aware of Sabrina's magic but Harvey Kinkle, another friend and her love interest, isn't. She is secretly in love with Harvey and wants one day to marry him. She wears a white-and-pink striped tank topa green moon-shaped earring paired with a yellow star-shaped earring, pink skirt, pink hairclips in her bangs, with white-and-pink sneakers. When she casts a spell the magic produced is pink and yellow.

Sabrina has long blonde hair with blue eyes and often wears star and moon earrings and pink hair clips.

In the first show Sabrina: The Animated Series, her signature outfit consists of a white cropped tank top with a pink stripe, a pink miniskirt (the tank top exposes a part of her midriff, but not her belly button, due to her skirt being high-rising, white socks, and white and pink sneakers. For sleepwear, she wears a white long-sleeved nightshirt and a pair of pink night shorts with fluffy pink cat slippers. When going swimming she appears in various different swimsuits, Sabrina often wears a one-piece light blue bathing suit, wears a similar pink bathing suit (in her dream) and is once seen with wearing a red one.

Sabrina has a very amiable, extroverted, and outgoing personality. She is also very brave. She stands up for her friends and tries to help them whenever she can. Sometimes she can be selfish and use her magic for her own pleasure, but at the end of the day she usually realizes abusing magic is wrong and learns from her mistakes.

Sabrina is very social and tries hard to fit in at school, even if it means using spells to do it. Like when she made clones of herself so she could join every school club or when she and Chloe used a shrink spell to fit into a pair of Waif Moth jeans. But when the spells backfire, Sabrina realizes being herself, doing what makes her happy, and not caring so much what other people think is better than trying so hard to fit in.*
