Eyes stared at you from across the hall; your neighbour, a military man who you barely even knew, and saw even less.

It made rage simmer in your chest, building up with no outlet. Only 5 minutes prior had you thrown your pathetic cheating partner out your flat, for good this time. The neighbour had witnessed almost the entire thing, nonchalantly leaning in his door frame chewing on some gum and looking too amused for your liking.

He had began to quietly laugh, his shoulders shaking and his hands raising in the air. One brow was lifted with his amusement. A voice deep and gravelly as he replied.

"Nothing, was just watching the show."
