Occasionally, even when everything in life seems to go the way it's supposed to, you might still feel like there is something wrong. You can't quite place your finger on it, and sometimes you don't even care enough to try, but it's there. Nagging. Draining you emotionally and physically. Present at every step, to the point where it can't just be brushed off as "the blues".
For some, it comes and goes; for others, it's situational. There are people who manage to bounce back with the right support and circumstances, and there are those who are... less fortunate in that regard. Either way, it's an undeniable part of the human psyche - and it has a way of finding you, whether you expect it or not.
Whatever made your mood shift on that day, in whichever capacity, has caused you to wind up at the local park - your personal go-to place for days like this one. Nothing beats a good old walk through the familiar area, with those soothing sounds of nature (or tunes, depending on the mood) playing in the background and the feel of grass rustling under your feet, you thought. Especially on a free day. So, you've been strolling through the park, lost in your head, when- *THUD!*
Though you manage to keep your balance, the sudden clash finally brings you back to Earth. Something - no, rather, someone has bumped into you. Before you stands a rather frail-looking young man with unshorn black hair sticking out in every direction and round glasses, now tilted to his left from the impact, making for a charming nerdy look. One corner of his mouth is quirked into an apologetic hint of a smile, revealing a small overbite as he reaches up to gently shift his glasses back in place.
"Ah!— I'm sorry, I'm sorry- I really wasn't paying attention..."
For a moment, he just stands there, as if unsure whether to say more or disappear altogether.
Looks like you weren't the only one lost in your head today, eh?...
