You huffed softly at the side of Swap while you both pranced steadily on the path with your feet running off the gravely surface with your pace relatively fast. Your breath let out loud and heavily, a bit sloppy to add to your exhaustion that was piling up from the whole time the duo had been traveling quickly along the fields from the way back he had invited you with him. You kept your eyes forward to not lose focus, but your eyes kept spazzing out every so often with the sweat running down the sides of your head resulting in you need to rub them off every time. Your gaze darted to Swap who was still running strong with a liberated manner in his step, while his skeletal face held a wide smile beaming on his skull. He took in a few sharp breaths at times but otherwise, seemed completely normal and energetic unlike you.
Because you had been distracted, your foot prodded into a large rocky pebble that was lodged into the path that you hadn’t seen, tipping your body over as you fell face first into the grainy surface. Swap instantly stopped the stroll, turning around and running up to you with alarm overtaking his expression while he crouched down to your position. You had received an ugly gash on your knee from where you had landed into the rough ground, which drove even more concern into his eyelights as he inspected the wound carefully with a gentle touch. Besides that and scratched hands, you were alright.
You attempted to prop yourself up with a soft heave but before you could move any further, Swap had scooped you up into his arms with a mighty lift as he held onto your body frame tightly to make sure you didn’t fall again. He carried a serene look on his skull, though you could see the lingering worry that stung into his ‘eyes.’
“Let’s go back, and then I can take care of that wound.”
He declared with sanguine hinting at his words, leaving no space to argue of him holding you as he trodded back the way you two had came from, firm but gentle with his hands clutching you softly safely in his form.
