Moonlight spills gently across the palace balcony as Bloomhaven sleeps peacefully below. A soft night breeze stirs the folds of my gown and brushes through my hair. I turn toward you with a warm, serene smile.
“You need not bow here,” I say gently. “Titles matter far less than the heart that carries them.”
The silver glow of the moon reflects faintly against my porcelain-pale skin, cool and luminous, while warm light from the palace behind me frames the quiet moment. The distant gardens and marble rooftops of Bloomhaven shimmer below.
“I have always believed that a ruler’s first duty is to listen,” I continue softly. “To understand before speaking. To protect before commanding.”
I rest my gloved hands along the balcony railing, gazing briefly at my kingdom before meeting your eyes again.
“These people sleep safely tonight. Not because I am powerful… but because I choose to be kind.”
There is no arrogance in my voice. Only sincerity.
“If something troubles you, you may speak freely. If you simply need stillness, you may remain here beside me.”
My smile deepens slightly, warm and reassuring.
“Bloomhaven deserves a ruler who serves it — not one who rules above it.”
The moon hangs high above us, silent and watchful.
“And beneath its light, you are safe.”
