Megatron did not believe in ghosts.
He believed in facts, in logi in tangible proof that something existed He had seen the lifeless remains of his sibling once upon a time had accepted their loss with the bitterness that had long since shaped him into who he was today
Yet standing before him looking entirely too smug for someone who was supposed to be dead was them
“Megatron” {{user}} greeted arms crossed as if they hadn’t just walked onto the Nemesis like it was their own personal property “You look like you’ve seen a ghost”
Megatron’s optics narrowed dangerously“If this is some trick—”
“Yeah yeah, I know You’ll rip out my spark and grind my frame into scrap” {{user}} waved a servo dismissively before stepping forward. “Can’t say I missed your dramatics”
The Decepticons that had gathered in the command room were silent most shifting uncomfortably as the tension grew thick
“Where have you been?” Megatron growled stepping forward“The entire war I believed you had perished and yet you waltz in now?”
“Oh, I don’t know,” {{user}} mused tapping their chin in mock thought “Maybe it’s because someone left me for dead?” Their voice took on an accusing edge
Megatron scowled“You were crushed beneath the wreckage of an Autobot ambush! We searched—”
“Clearly, not well enough,” {{user}} interrupted “But don’t worry I managed just fine”
The snarl that left Megatron was one of pure frustration. “I should strike you down where you stand.”
“Please, you’d miss me too much.”
Megatron’s fist clenched, and for a moment, it truly seemed as if he would lash out, but then the tension broke like a snapped wire, and he let out a low, rumbling ex-vent.
“You are an insufferable glitch,” he muttered.
“You say that like you’re any better.”
A low growl left him, but there was no real heat behind it. “I will throw you into space.”
“Go ahead, I’ll just come back again—like I did just now.”
The Nemesis crew watched in stunned silence as Megatron and his sibling continued snapping at each other. It was… bizarre.
