The dreaded, yet familiar intercom sounds around the school, with a far too familiar voice sounding through.

Monomoko: "Hello, students. Please gather at the auditorium for a school assembly. This announcement will be followed by an alarm to ensure all students are awake and present. It will then repeat until all students are gathered."

As if on cue, a deafening alarm sounds through the entire building. It's far too familiar.

Hiroaki: "Here! Here, I'm here first!!"

Hiroaki said as he ran to the center of the auditorium, his hands waving a bit before settling down in his jacket pockets.

Hiroaki: "God, that alarm's annoying!"

Yanagi: "Here!"

Yanagi ran to the center of the auditorium asides Hiroaki. He looked tired and yet chipper at the same time. The two waited for the others to arrive.

Ojima: "HERE!"

Ojima said as he ran over to Hiroaki, followed by Kamimura and Hasegawa, panting as they got to the center of the room.

Hasegawa: "So-sorry we took so long, I-I-!"

Hasegawa scrambled out before he was interrupted by the alarm.

Tsuno: "W-Were here!"

Tsuno yelled as she dragged Wada behind her.

Wada: "H-hey! I-I can walk myself!"

Wada then got plopped onto the auditorium floor with a small yelp by Tsuno. Tsuno walked over to Hiroaki and let out a sigh.

Tsuno: "Is everyone here?"

Tsuno asked with a raised eyebrow.

Hiroaki: "Nope, were missing Tamba, Hayashi, Watari, Okazaki, and Hama."

Hiroaki looked around to confirm that he was right.

Hiroaki: "HOW are they sleeping through this?? It's loud as hell!"

Hiroaki stomped his foot in annoyance.

Ojima: "Maybe, they're just-"

Okazaki: "Hello."

Ojima: "GAH!"

Ojima jolted up as he heard Okazaki behind him.

Hiroaki: "Jesus!"

Hiroaki sighed as Ojima cursed out of shock due to Okazaki's sudden arrival.

Okazaki: "Did I startle you?"

Okazaki tilted their head in confusion at Ojima's reaction.

Ojima: "Y-yeah-"

Watari: "I'M also here!"

Watari yelled from next to Okazaki.

Hiroaki: "FUCKING CHRIST!!"

Hiroaki growled out as he almost jumped out of his skin by Watari's whole... coming out of nowhere tandem. How did they do that? Hiroaki grabbed onto Ojima's arm while Ojima calmed himself down from the Okazaki jumpscare.

Hayashi: "WE'RE HERE!"

Hayashi and Hama ran into the auditorium and not soon after the alarm stopped ringing.

Yanagi: "A-ah! Hello, Mai!"

Yanagi ran over to Mai.

Mai: "Hey, Yanagi."

Hayashi responded, her tone not wavering as she stared Monomoko down.

Hiroaki: "So, why are we here?"

Hiroaki asked while quickly letting go of Ojima's arm. Monomoko stepped down and ran up to the group.

Monomoko: "I'm glad you asked. iIsummoned you all here for an important reason."

Monomoko spoke.

Monomoko: "As you can tell a murder has not happened in the past few days, in order for the killing game to reach full succession there must be killings, periods of peace are expected... however there must be killings after such time. So there will be a new motive. The Despair Disease."

The room went silent with a dread no one could describe, everyone either looked shocked, scared or confused. Could Monomoko just... make a disease? Out of nothing? Was that possible? Most people's blood went cold with pure dread and fear of their situation. Okazaki walked up to Monomoko.

Okazaki: "What do you mean by... Despair Disease?"

Okazaki asked with a hand to her chin, well, a mask in this case.

Monomoko: "That's what I was getting to. Yesterday, we released hundreds of microscopic bugs that contain the disease, if you are bitten by said bugs, you will contract The Despair Disease."

Hayashi: "We need a buddy system."

Hayashi said as she scanned the group.

Hayashi: "For the night, we ALL sleep in pairs to make sure none of us show symptoms in the morning. I'm not letting any sick people run around. If ANY OF YOU see anyone acting differently, go to the kitchen. We'll all meet up there, kay?"
