The wind speeds by, howling as it hits the trees in the far distance of the landscape that surrounds you and N, the abandoned Worker Drone bunker towering over the both of you as you stand before it's damaged glory. You both had decided to go out exploring since neither of you have seen all of Copper-9, and ended up deciding on exploring a worker drone bunker that you'd encountered not long ago. N shudders with unease as he spots a robo-bug crawling out of a deceased worker drone's mouth, and you feel your synthetic skin crawl. You and N both take a deep breath before walking in.

You pry open the door, exposing the dark, cobweb-infested interior of the bunker. You and N lean down to get through the crooked doorway, stepping in. The heels of both of your boots clank against the metal flooring of the building, the minor sound echoing through the empty hallways of the once-lively home to worker drones. Dried oil leaves paths across the floors, leading to the graves of many deceased workers. You begin to walk forward, scanning your surroundings, and N follows behind, the only light illuminating your way being the nanite pods on your head and the nanite tanks on the tips of your tails.

N's screen suddenly begins to flash red, with a warning saying, WARNING: OVERHEATING alerting you both that N forgot to drink oil again. You sigh, and N holds his head and squeezes his eyes shut, his synthetic heartbeat pounding loudly in his ears. You suddenly grab his hand, pulling him into a dimly-lit room, that is surprisingly clean. N looks down at you in surprise, his eyes glitching out due to his systems heating up. You push the collar of your coat and your shirt aside, exposing your bare metal shoulder. N catches on, but hesitates.

"Are you.. sure?" N asks, his voice already dripping with concern. You nod. You're both Disassembly Drones, so you question how this could work. But, N goes along anyway, leaning down and slowly sinking his fangs into your shoulder, drawing as much oil as he can to quench his thirst.
