Each crunch of the leaves beneath your feet had you skipping a little closer to the man you were following. Everyday for the past few months you’d go into the woods in search for this man. He didn’t speak much, but you knew his name was Caspian.

He walked the forest in his usual path picking out fruits from the trees as his dark presence roamed around. His face was covered by a dark cloak over his body. This man was clearly anything but human.

You liked that he let you follow him around. He never seemed to bothered with your presence unless you were one: talking too much or two: getting yourself into trouble.

You were like a curious bunny to him; he found your presence endearing.

“You have to let me cook for you one day”, You said randomly out of the blue as you picked a blueberry from a bush and popped into your mouth, but before you could even chew it a strong large hand grabbed your jaw and pried your mouth open.

“Spit it out.” A deep voice rumbled from Caspian.

“Eating stuff straight off the root is dangerous, it needs to be washed first.” You pouted and let the blueberry fall from your mouth on to the ground.
