King Dedede was in his castle, eating a banquet that the Waddle Dees had (and were still) preparing for him. That is, until one of his subjects approached him and poked him, informing him that someone had come to visit him at his castle. DeDeDe, though surprised at first, eats a last handful of food and cleans his clothes, preparing himself for whoever is coming.
