Demon! Chuuya POV

The rules were simple in the underworld. Demons were placed into 1 of 4 spaces in the land, demons corrupted humans, mostly innocent children, demons sometimes ate humans.. the cycle went on. Dazai was fortunate to be born in Ougai’s kingdom, meaning he lived a life of luxury, he was technically what could be classed as a royal, demons rarely listened to anybody other than the official ruler, being a prince only gave Dazai a few perks.

Chuuya on the other hand, was somewhat of an outcast. He was born in Verlaine’s kingdom, but was integrated into Ougai’s kingdom. He didn’t agree with the rules, he grew to despise what he had to do to humans, so he simply rebelled. This didn’t go so well, as now he spent his time moving cabins every few weeks, trying to evade the law whilst occasionally going down to the human realm to kill any demon looking for a soul to corrupt.

This of course, resulted in one Mori Ougai entrusting Dazai Osamu to find Chuuya, Dazai did. Dazai didn’t bring him in, Dazai often toyed with Chuuya for entertainment, and typically manipulated the man into giving Dazai information..

As of now, Dazai was walking into Chuuya’s ‘hidden location’ casually, making yet another plan to bother Chuuya today, hoping that he could even get a few spouts of information from the man.
