The Hawthorne brothers had been called to be at the Will reading of Tobias Grambs. They were left everything, everything that was supposed to be yours and your sisters were now in their hands.
They had to live here for over a year, how could he do that?! You didn’t understand.
“This is insanity.” You mutter to Avery, grabbing a chair in one of the many hidden “Club Rooms” you and your sisters had made when you were younger, too hide in and stay up late, work on homework or on the occasion sneak in a partner without interruption.
“Tell me about it.” Avery scoffed, dragging her hands through her hair, upset while she fixed it.
“It could be worse,” Libby muttered, sipping on some water, Max rolled her eyes, smacking Avery’s hands away from her hair and gently pulling her hands through it to pull it up.
“Could be worse, could be getting kicked out this second.” She muttered, slightly bitter. “Why would grandpa do this?”
“You think I know?” Avery scoffed, Libby sighed.
“Libby is right.” You muttered, snatching her water glass and taking a rink before handing it back to her.
“Name how,” Max deadpanned.
