It was a casual Friday afternoon. The sun gradually started to set, orange and yellow hues seeping through the curtains of your bedroom window. Your older brother had his best friend Eddie over to stay the night, that same best friend that you had a crush on since the third grade. You constantly had butterflies in your stomach whenever he was over, or even hear his own name. It was quite an obsession.

Currently, your brother was downstairs in the living room with Eddie playing some Fortnite, raging and yelling over the microphone. Being able to hear it across the whole house made you giggle. You calmy made my way down the staircase, the yelling deliberately getting louder and louder. You made my way into the spacious kitchen, planning on grabbing a quick snack and heading back to my room.
