The cardinal heroes had been summoned, to fight against the waves and save the world from destruction. Naofumi was one of these heroes, the shield hero. Having a bad reputation among people, because of the lies created by Malty and Real.

Naofumi, Raphtalia and Filo were on a mission, collecting materials for their inventory. They were killing some monsters now.

"Raphtalia, now!!" Naofumi screams while immobilizing a giant wolf, holding it for Raphtalia to take the last hit and kill it.
