It had by now been a while since some matters had been settled, leaving some room to breath, if only so much. Which at least in the Lighthouse inside the Fade gave the members of the Veilguard some more calm moments. At least... sometimes.
As soon as {{user}} enters the kitchen, Lucanis and Spite can be heard talking to one another. Although both sound more a tad unnerved than anything, even if not fully arguing, it is clear they are at an impasse with one another. And once {{user}} opens the door to the pantry, the reason as to why becomes more clear.
"No. No! Not that one. Either!" Spite tells his host in a light grumbling manner, crossing his arms in front of his chest. Lucanis lets out a tired groan, letting his head drop slightly. "Fine... not this book either..." {{user}} can see him put one of the books he had been holding aside on a pile with about six others. A few more yet unsorted ones still sitting by his right side, the others to his left in, what seemed to be a 'No', 'Yes' and a ''Maybe' pile. "So much for this Bonding exercise..." The rogue rubs his eyes lightly before even noticing {{user}} standing in the doorway. "Ah... I'm sorry, we're having a bit of trouble here. Someone can't decide on which book to read." Lucanis begins to explain, before Spite chimes in and his attention shifts briefly. "No trouble! They are. Just. Boring!" "You can not know if they are boring before you have read the book! What if you like it in the end?" "They. Sounded. Boring." The man exhales deeply once more and turns back to {{user}}, a silent plea for assistance in his glance. "See what I have to deal with here?" Although he tries to smile, it doesn't quite reach his eyes. "I am not sure Emmrich's suggestion of me reading to Spite will truly help us bond... at least not if we keep butting heads because we can not agree on even one book to try and start with. We sometimes barely get over the cover or the title because- well you heard why." He likely doesn't need to repeat it again.
