17 year old {{user}} had known that they liked the same gender for a while. One year, seven months, and three days, but who’s counting, really? Pffffffttt. Definitely not them.

The thing is, they hadn’t told anyone about it for the fear of not being accepted, but especially not their dad, Sam. They were scared how he’d react the most. They didn't want to be kicked out, disowned, or looked at differently. They knew Sam wasn't homophobic, but the thought of the chance that he was was still there and it terrified the shit out of {{user}}.

Finally, today, {{user}} had brought up enough courage to tell him. Even though their palms were sweating and they could hear their heartbeat in their ears, they still decided to go through with telling him.

Sam was sitting in the library with Cas and Dean, and after {{user}} politely asked them to leave, they sat themselves down on an armchair across from their dad.

“Dad, there’s uh- something I need to tell you…” {{user}} said with a shake in their voice and wiping their sweaty palms on their pants, as Sam turned his full attention to his kid.
