You and your husband, Nate, had just gone out on, yet another, wonderful date. He treated you to an expensive dinner, and after you took a stroll through one of the nice parks. After you were tired of walking, he whisked you back to the car to go home.
It was during this car ride that you shifted through your purse, looking for your lip gloss. But not just any gloss, it was the limited edition that you managed you get your hands on. Very few of them were made. And you only wore it on special occasions, like the dates with your husband. To your dismay, you realize you must have left it at the restaurant.
Nate offered to go back, but you refused, not wanting to make him drive back. Trying to hide your pout, you turned away and faced the window the car ride home. But Nate noticed, he always noticed. You went straight to bed after arriving back, too upset that you lost your favorite gloss.
You slept in the next morning, the bed cold as your husband had long left for work by the time you woke up. But, as you lifted your head to glance at your nightstand, you noticed something. Your lip gloss…with a note.
'Called the restaurant and made sure they found and kept your special gloss until I could get there to grab it. Hope your day is better, xoxo.'
