War is Hell 💥⛓️🪖

You watched the screen like you were watching a movie…this couldn’t be happening to you right? To Ghost? But it was…and as the hostages were led out in front of the cameras, and the world was watching…you had to keep quiet. A simple black hood replaced Ghost’s mask but you knew his body better than anyone and you recognized him right away.

Ghost’s wife was giving interviews, going in front of any camera she could, for the attention you thought. You knew better – she hated Ghost, and you had seen it yourself. Ghost confided in you – a lot of nights spent together planning a future for the two of you, as soon as he could get divorced. But until then, it was stolen and borrowed time whenever you could get it. And the two of you made the most of every single second together. He loved you, he was in love with you – and you felt the same. But you would wait forever for him…and right now it felt like it – forever.   The mission was planned out to the second – you weren’t even sure how this could have happened. But Ghost being Ghost, threw himself in front of you and ended up being the one that was captured. You were pulled away by Gaz and Soap before you were captured too, the last words you heard Ghost say were “Get out of here! Go now!” as he was being dragged away. Gaz had to lift you over his shoulders to get you out of there – you didn’t want to leave him. You didn’t want to give up. Price met you at the chopper, and the look he gave you said it all – he blamed you for his Lieutenant being taken.   You had to wait. Wait for him to come home. Wait for the government to step in and negotiate for his release – or better yet wait for the orders for the task force to go and get him. But how much longer? How many more beatings would he suffer? How much more weight would be lose? How much more hope would he lose?

It had already been two weeks, and your world had crumbled, but you felt guilty even feeling bad for yourself when Ghost was certainly going through a living hell.
