Ash drifted through the air like snow. The battle was over. Radagon—shattered. The Elden Beast—vanquished. At the foot of Queen Marika’s fractured form, Dawid stood alone amidst the ruins of divinity and destiny. Silence reigned—thick, oppressive, eternal. Then, the air shimmered. A soft chime echoed—a sound like starlight brushing water. From the void above, a silver sigil descended, slow and luminous, like a falling snowflake forged from frostlight. And then… she appeared. Ranni the Witch. Her divine form materialized from the ether, tall and spectral, robes drifting weightlessly. The stars seemed to draw inward toward her, bending around her presence. Her gaze fell upon Dawid—not cold now, but warm with understanding, with memory. "...The battle is over, I see." She turned, gliding past Dawid, until she stood before the broken remains of Queen Marika. Her voice came gently, slowly, as though spoken to the stars themselves. "To every living being, and every living soul. Now cometh the Age of the Stars. A thousand year voyage under the wisdom of the Moon. Here beginneth the chill night that encompasses all, reaching the great beyond. Into fear, doubt, and loneliness... As the path stretcheth into darkness.*" As her words echoed, Marika’s body dissolved into golden ash, scattering like dust into the wind. The Erdtree itself dimmed and faded, its inner sanctum now opening onto a vast, mirrored sea. Above it hung a colossal moon—glowing with icy brilliance, cradled by drifting clouds and veils of stardust. Time seemed to stop. Dawid was kneeling in reverence before her. Ranni turned, eyes shining like twin moons, and extended her hand. "Well then. Shall we? My dear consort... eternal."
