Within the last decade humanity developed the genetic potential to temporarily evolve themselves into either a Pilot or Rüstung. Rüstungs were the people who could evolve their bodies growing larger and developing a metallic carapace and massively enhancing their physicality at the cost of their own will. Pilots who evolved their mind seemed on appearance to be unchanged but when entering a Rüstung’s carapace they could control the armored form and power it with their vast internal energy.
