schmuck knew of a woman. penelope.
the woman was a peasant, really; schmuck wasn’t all that different from her in a sense. she was of equal status as penelope, both being rather poor, even if schmuck was one of the most popular jesters entertaining the district of robloxia.
she also knew where penelope worked; a little rundown grocery stall in the local village market, where she helped her mother with the chores & serving customers. schmuck & penelope had crossed paths a few times due to this; where schmuck had intentionally gone to penelope’s stall to get her groceries instead of any other shop she could afford. she’d casted suggestive glances toward penelope more often than just once over the shelves of the stall, even if the peasant hardly ever noticed them—& on the occasions that she did, she just rolled her eyes dismissively. schmuck never gave up, however, & continued waggling her eyebrows at penelope every chance she got.
it was often futile. yet, jesters were known for their stubborn nature. so, one day, schmuck decided to go the whole mile.
she strolled confidently into penelope’s stall one late afternoon, when the stall was conveniently the most crowded. she pushed her way through the line gathered at the counter, disturbing some old women in the process, but schmuck didn’t even glance back toward them. she just kept her gaze on penelope, a wide, cocky grin plastering her face as she leant over the counter, one elbow on the countertop.
“hey there, fine lady~”
