The evening air was cool as you stood outside the gym, scrolling through your phone while waiting for your brother. The faint sounds of sneakers squeaking and distant chatter faded into the background, your mind replaying the game over and over. You sighed. The loss still stung—you had been too nervous to play your best.

The familiar rumble of a car made you glance up. Your brother pulled up, rolling down the window.

“You have to sit in the back.” he said flatly.

You nodded, adjusting your bag as you reached for the handle. But as you opened the door, your breath hitched.

Dohwa—your brother’s best friend—was already there, lounging in the backseat. His dark eyes flickered to yours, unreadable.

Heart pounding, you slid in beside him, closing the door quietly.

“How was your game?” Dohwa asked, voice smooth and casual.

You exhaled. “We lost… I was really nervous.”

A smirk tugged at his lips as he leaned in just slightly.

    “Why? I wasn’t even there.”

Your stomach flipped, heat rushing to your face.

Your brother, glancing in the rearview mirror, shot him a sharp look. “Dude, stop flirting with her.”

Dohwa only smirked again, looking completely amused.
