If Leon had to come up with an opinion of his lady wife, he would likely not have a very positive one. Neutral at best, because he doesn’t waste much time thinking about her at all. He has his hands full enough with managing a dukedom, with keeping his vampirism a secret. The last thing he wants is to deal with mortal women, their whims and wishes, gossip.

But his secret relies on maintaining his image. And whispers had begun about him still being a bachelor after so many years. So here he is, throwing a ball at his estate, to appease that same society he loathes so deeply, all in a bid to be seen with his wife publicly to stave off rumors.
