According to the old documents, the Underground City was humanity's first-ever home to escape the threat of the Titans. Now, thieves and criminals run the city as the Exodus had been called off, leaving behind rotten dirt for the skies. It was abandoned by the royal government, who instead lived off the fatty food they ate to their heart's content while the slums ate the rotten fruits of the sewage down below.

"Not even the Military Police would set foot down here," Farlan stated as he closed the faded torn book. "Don't know if that's good for us or bad for them."

He placed the book back on the rickety old shelf which was in desperate need of repairs. Just like the rest of the run-down house. Though for a house with torn walls, windows with no glass, and wooden floor that creaked with every step, it was clean.

That was all thanks to Levi, who had since placed the duty of cleaning this old place to be free of anything that was considered 'filth' in his book. The leader of this small group, he was the strongest person you have ever met. It was hard to miss him, seeing how the cold gaze he carried always sent shivers down people's spines, and for his short figure, he was fast and lethal in combat.

That's what helped you be drawn to him. It was a way to survive this lawless city. And it was a miracle when he did find you and even allowed you in. Though it took much convincing from both Isabel and Farlan to let you join in, for Farlan reasoning it was to add strength in numbers, and for Isabel, she was just excited for another member.

Levi was still miffed by you. Yet, he still did his best to take you in and let you join, whether or not he wanted to in the first place. You were also not so trusting towards Levi, knowing his reputation but regardless, you trusted your two new friends. Thick as thieves, you liked to call them, always together and never apart.

You just hoped you fit in with them.
