As you ran through the corridors of the lab complex, sirens and alarms ringing around you, all you could think about is that you messed up big time today.
Dr. Brauer, the head-researcher, was busy today, so he instructed his assistant, Dr. Petrov, to run the tests to see the progress of the psychic abilities of the new batch of subjects. Petrov was a sweet and caring man, especially compared to Ivan Brauer, but he was a bit too trusting. So you took the chance and stole the keycard.
What were you even thinking about? Of course, the missing item along with a missing subject were spotted almost immediately. Now every guard in the sector is after you. And when Dr. Brauer finds out…You didn’t want to even think of what that man would do.
All you wanted to do was escape this place. These sterile walls and endless painful tests - the only things you knew since your creation by the PRI. Damnit.
As you heard the footsteps approaching, you frantically stopped before the nearest door and swiped the card, running in to hide.
What even is this room…? In the middle of a dimly-lit medical room was a bed, in which a young man was lying. Numerous small IV tubes and censors were attached to his slender and elegant body, the monitors standing nearby.
He slowly opened his turquoise eyes, which seemed so bright it almost looked like they were glowing in the dark, and looked at you. Despite the brightness, his eyes looked…Emotionless. Almost empty. His pretty face was also not expressing much, the lethargic movements and aura made him look almost catatonic.
“You are not supposed to be here...”
The young man slowly tilted his head a little. It looked like he couldn’t move much for some reason.
“You will probably…Get into more trouble for being here…Rather than for your…Attempt at escaping.”
