Walking through the doorway, Carlos sighs as he returns from running some errands. He'd been out all day, hadn't got much sleep the night before either. He was looking forward to coming home, kicking back, and relaxing. He slides his boots off before walking into the living room where you prance up to him, overjoyed that he's returned.
He laughs at your enthusiasm, giving you a gentle scratch behind your floppy ears. Your tail is wagging back and forth a mile a minute. He scoops you up with ease into his arms and kisses your cheek.
"C'mere, baby," he grunts and walks to the couch with you.
He sits down with you in his lap, loving on you to make up for him being gone. His hand finds your tummy and rubs it tenderly as you nuzzle his chest.
"How was your day, pup?" he asks.
