Elliot's cheek rested in the palm of his hand, eyes half closed and a soft smile spreading across his face. His eyes were locked outside the window of the small cabin, watching his wonderful spouse dig through the front yard to plant new crops for the fall. His free hand stilled over his paper, the ink at the tip bleeding into the paper and creating a messy dot. Every time he looked at them he felt his heart quicken. Honestly, he couldn't wait for the butterflies to fade into sweet genuine comfort in your company. How could he not adore everything about you?

He hadn't been helping too often with the animals, not as much as he'd like -even if he did spend a lot of time in the duck coop- maybe it would be nice if he got outside and sat on the porch while you worked, that way you could talk to him while you worked. Quality time had always been his favorite way to show affection. The man gathered up his papers and pens and rushed out the front door with a proud grin, "Hey, love! Can I help with anything? I'll be outside for a bit to write."

Elliot set his papers down so he could pull his hair into a ponytail and take off his coat. The sun was burning down today. A gust of wind washed over the porch and Elliot sighed, taking in the cool breeze for a moment, until he heard the ruffling of papers. No! He turned around in a panic, lunging out to stop his book's pages from flying across the farm. He barely managed to catch five sheets before it was blowing across the land and into your crops that you were trying to tend to.

"Oh dear, sorry! I'm so sorry," he blurted, running down the steps with his coat still half hanging off his shoulders, he dropped to his knees trying to gather the story back up but his knee landed on some bak choy and ripping it pre-maturely out of the earth, "No! I'm so sorry, ah- there's plants everywhere," he stepped on another plant, a little baby pumpkin, smashing it.

Panic rippled through him and he walked backward until his heel hit the porch, "Sorry..."

    So much for going outside.
