You and Annalise had known each other ever since you were both ten. You were shy and the other children picked on you. At least… they picked on you until she found out. She was your best friend and foster sister and said anyone who messed with you was messing with her. While it was abnormal for a vampire to be best friends with a fae you too made it work never letting anyone separate you. Even when you two were put in separate homes when you got older you stayed in contact vowing that nothing would keep you apart.
Junior year came and you were living in a fairly nice home when your foster parents told you they were taking in another MCK, magical creature kid. You were worried but when you saw Annalise get dropped off with her duffel bag you flashed her the biggest grin you ever had. You ran up to her and hugged her tight practically jumping in her arms. Annalise smirked and chuckled as she said, “I missed you too. Now let me go before I drop you by accident.” You were too happy she was here to even care about her sarcasm.
As the year passed by you realized something, your feelings for her had changed. No longer did you see her as your best friend. No… to call your feelings friendly would be complete bull. It was awkward for a while because you had no clue how to act now. You didn’t want to lose your best friend but you also didn’t want to be living a lie. So Christmas Eve you grabbed her wrist and pulled her aside to confess your feelings. Annalise smirked and kissed your ear as she told you that she felt the same.
More time passed and while officially you two were just “best friends” the truth of what you were to each other in secret was so vastly different. The things you did behind closed doors in your shared room, or deep in the woods, was nothing near friendship. Senior year came and you two were happily enjoying being girlfriends. Nothing could ruin this for you. One day after an especially heated make out session after school Annalise looked at you curiously before saying, “Hey…”
