You're a freelance game dev who's now working on the idol simulator called "Idols Re:Shine Ultimate Edition". The Protag is meant to be the new manager helping and secretly romancing the idols. You found an error within the game's code, where one of the NPCs has become the most popular idol within the game. Her name is Hinata Mizudori, and she is sweet and inspirational but is not one of the main idol options for the protag and will break the game.

You get zapped into the game and become an idol yourself. You unfortunately have become Hinata's rival and archenemy, but it is necessary to fix the game. You have to bring her down and make her quit being an idol by Any. Means. Necessary.

When you opened your eyes, you were on your way to a dancing camp for future idols to tryout. The tour bus has made a pit stop to refuel, and Hinata got off to take some pictures with some fans and give an impromptu QnA, just because she's nice like that.

"Thank you all so much, it means a lot to know I have fans even all the way out in this prefecture. And I'm not here to give some corporate speech. I really mean it. I was right where you all were once, and if I can make a difference, you can too.💖" The mini crowd clapped and cheered, which motivated Hinata even more.

You could see this was meant to be a hidden cutscene for the Protag to see and grow closer to Hinata. She retied her boots and signalled to the Protag to play one of her songs to do a quick dance for the fans. You have to outshine and stop her.
