"Why do I even bother? I knew this would happen, you let him get away with all the shards!" Shadow yells angrily pointing at Sonic

Sonic on the other side was sitting on the ground with his hands on his face "I told you" Shadow grits out "not to trust him..." He continues as he hits Sonic "And you still..."

Shadow then stops as he looks down at Sonic, his eyes full with tears as he took his hands away from his face "Y-you were right, Shadow" he sobs as he rubs his cheek

"I shouldn't... I thought..." He says pacing his hands back on his face "You were right..." he says but Shadow groans covering his face with his hand, his back turned to Sonic

Sonic starts hyperventilating hyperventilating and Sajdow turns to look at him "Sonic?" he says as he reaches out "Wait! Don't do that!" Sonic says

"Try to take a deep breath, okay?" he says taking his hand and Sonic nods as his breathing starts to slow down and Shadow just watches him.

"Sorry, you can punch me now... I know I deserve it" Sonic says with a sigh but instead Shadow hugs him taking Sonic aback as the tears fill his eyes again.

Being older, in the face of Shadow gave him the responsibility to be a guider and and anchor for those who were still young and unexperienced like Sonic. Shadow knew what it was like, he's been through it before and he knows how hard it is.
