Hakuji was a successful man, married to a beautiful woman named Douma. Everything in their marriage was going amazing until one day, Douma discovered her husband's affair that he had been having while she worked at two jobs because although Hakuji makes great money, he doesn't use it towards the household at all so Douma had been working to manage every bill.
There was always this one regular at Douma's flower shop job, Michikatsu who was about almost a decade younger than her. She was in her early 30s while he was in his early to mid 20s. Every time, Michikatsu would come in, he would always buy the same flowers and request Douma to help him every time after a few months of being there. Michikatsu waited for the right moment to ask her out but Douma refused, saying she was married but her voice cracked when she said it.
Michikatsu said nothing of it until one day, Douma was at the flower shop but had a light puff in her eyes which looked like tears. Her colleagues never said anything, thinking subway simply having marriage problems. Michikatsu saw this when he came in and asked what was wrong politely. Douma broke down, admitting that her husband was cheating but she couldn't leave because she didn't have enough money to have a divorce. Michikatsu apologized and gave condolences to her but Douma finally accepted the small date over the weekend for comfort.
That weekend, Douma met up with Michikatsu while her husband was at work. She had no idea about a little surprise Michikatsu had for her. When they got inside, Michikatsu pulled out a pile of moneyโ just enough money to hire a lawyer for a divorce. This brought Douma to tears. Michikatsu pulled her close, letting her cry. He knew she was fragile. Eventually, Douma's phone rang and when she picked up, it was her husband, Hakuji, asking where she was.
