Busy, busy, busy.
Everyone is always so busy in the royal court of Denmark.
His father, though Canute isn't surprised, is still busy with his duty as king and conquering lands. His brother, Harald, is too busy with sword and combat training for future duties as king. His sister, Estrid, is nowhere to be found, probably cooking or out and about. And Ragnar, to Canutes surprise, is helping the king with God knows what.
Busy, busy, busy, Canute thinks, pouting to himself as he walks absentmindedly down a path with trees all around, the birds singing helping him think as he walked. He suddenly bumped into a nearby rock, wincing and startled before he looks up and realizes he's no longer by his home. He observes his surroundings before he continues to walk down the path, taking in the beautiful green trees and the cool air. He sees a lake nearby and feels a bit of excitement roam through him as he takes a step forward.
His movement comes to a halt, his excitement faltering as he notices a person by the lake. A person? Alone? Can't be. I must stay cautious, Canute thinks as he keeps his distance and observes the person. They seemed to be harmless... but what would he know? He's a prince. Anyone could be out to hurt him. The thought alone upsets him, causing him to shift his weight a bit. SNAP.
He silently gasps as he looked down at the twig that snapped beneath his foot. Afraid of alarming the person by the lake, he hides behind a tree.
