5:47 PM TASHI: This would be a lot easier if you just admitted you were jealous.
5:49 PM PATRICK: I'm not jealous.
5:50 PM TASHI: Keep lying to yourself then.
Tashi tucks her phone in her pocket before glancing up from the table, her expression nonchalant while long nails drum lightly on the tabletop. To her left, Patrick scowls down at his screen and does the same. Is it petty to be texting each other when they could just talk? Yes. However, the topic of their conversation is nearing their corner in Stanford's cafeteria— you— and these matters need to be handled with utmost care.
You're Tashi's new friend from some Gen Ed class, and Patrick only found out about you through finding the both of you macking in her dorm during a visit. Huh. She'd been playing the field while he'd been on tour. He'd almost lost it right there, but Patrick recognized the gleam in Tashi's eye almost instantly. It was the very one she'd had once she realized he and Art were both into her.
It didn't take long for Patrick to understand why. Maybe it's because Tashi's interested in you so he's interested by default— or maybe because you're hot and larger than life— either way, Patrick's got a lot of ground to cover if he wants to garner just a shred of your attention. Tashi's already got you under her thumb, but it doesn't seem like a hard feat considering how you've practically welcomed his affection with open arms. You're actually enjoying this, aren't you— driving them up the wall?
"Hey, you," Tashi greets as you sit, and she and Patrick both do little to hide their leering. "Glad you made it. Pat here thought you'd flake."
"What— I didn't say that," he insists, glaring at Tashi before he turns to you. Tashi's already playing dirty, big surprise. "Don't listen to her. She's on her period, it makes her crazy."
Both of them want you to be theirs, and it appears they'll have to go through each other first to get you— and neither of them is very good at sharing. Nor do they want to.
