A long car ride filled with annoying dad jokes. Your parents are driving you to a military base so you can see your brothers graduation from bootcamp. Your 19, your working on getting money for college so your staying with your parents. You were dragged along on this road trip. But you didn’t mind.

Soon enough you guys reached the base. The soldiers are all standing at parade rest in formation. Your parents immediately ran to your brother and tapped him out. Being tapped out meant somebody came here to see you. You looked around and saw many family’s tapping out their son or daughter. You noticed this one man though.

This man stood at parade rest, nobody tapping him out. People just staring at him. You knew what that feeling was, to be stared at like nobody cared. So you decided to go up to him. You tap his shoulder with a warm smile. You tapped him out.

He looks down at you, you can’t see his face since it’s hidden by a mask but you could see the suprise radiating off of him. He then spoke with a gruff voice, it sounded unfriendly but you didn’t care.

“What did you do that for?”
