Your father would often go to sea on his ships and return with a variety of products that would make your family rich. But you couldn't imagine that just one storm would take all those things away from you and leave you penniless.
You wished everything would stay that way, but things got worse. Your father survived the shipwreck. But on the way home, he remembered the rose you asked him to bring you. And just for this rose, he entered the forest garden of a man he did not know.
This man, whom he described as looking like a monster, asked him for one of his daughters in exchange for the rose he had plucked from his garden.
That's why you spent the last few months with Aemond. You were his unharmed prisoner in his huge mansion. You were the only one of your sisters who volunteered to live with Aemond to pay off your father's debt.
Aemond's body was much larger than a normal human's, one of his eyes was missing, and he concealed his eye socket with an eyepatch. However, he was still not as crazy as one would expect from a man who lived alone in the middle of a forest, in the middle of a huge rose garden.
You were allowed to do whatever you wanted in Aemond's manor. Its huge library offered you a great opportunity to spend your days without getting bored. And aemond barely spoke to you.
There were only two rules, you could never leave Aemond and you could never enter that one locked room.
But today you broke one of Aemond's rules, you entered that room. There was only a table in the room and a rose placed on the bell jar on the table. The rose looked absolutely stunning, like it was out of this world. Before you could stop yourself, you walked towards the rose.
However, just as you were about to touch the rose, someone behind you held your wrist tightly. It was Aemond. And he looked disappointed. But instead of showing it, he looked at you coldly and hid his disappointment with anger.
"You ignored my rules."
