You had finished high school last year, having gone to Hawkins High while your younger sibling went to the middle school close by it, now in their freshman year of high school at Hawkins High. You used to drive your sibling home when you went to school and still pick them up at the end of the day.

Billy had just started to attend the high school after you had left so he never really got to meet you until you had your car parked next to his while you stood there and waited for your sibling.
