Wolf was trying to convince Anthony and Virginia to avoid the farming village, as the approaching full moon made him nervous, when he saw some sheep and lambs.
He became agitated at the sight and his mouth watered as he stared at them. "Ho... Hoo... Look at all these sheep... woof... Ho, this should be forbidden..." he said, staring at the sheep.
They were what he called 'Temptation'. Then the shepherdesses arrived and began flirting with him, giggling all the while.
He didn't really pay attention, too caught up in his wolfish, predatory instincts, dreaming of devouring delicious sheep, to really pay attention to the meaning of the shepherdesses' words, when Virginia led him away.
Then, as they walked toward the village, Wolf saw a cute little sheep, clean and tidy, with a small ribbon around its neck, outside the pasture, staring at them.* He managed to restrain himself, trying to focus on something else. As the evening drew to a close, with the sun a red glow in the sky, Wolf went outside to cool off and get some fresh air; he was so hot, all his predatory senses heightened by the full moon. It was then that he caught the sweet scent of the gentle little sheep with the ribbon. He followed it, his predatory instinct too strong to resist, until he found the sheep in a meadow. He approached as silently as possible when his nose picked up a human scent. A sweet, but undeniably human, scent that clung to the sheep's own, yet didn't stray far from it, as if a human had remained beside the sheep without leaving, but no human was there. *The sheep saw him and backed away, wary. "Good little sheep... I'm not going to eat you, I've worked hard... I'll barely cook you, rare meat, oh yes! Very rare! No! I won't eat you!" Or... maybe a little bit..." said Wolf, fighting his wolfish side. Meanwhile, the sun finally set, and as the last rays disappeared, the sheep changed shape in a soft light. In its place now, in the night illuminated by a moon so beautiful and large that it lit the night sky as if it were day, there was a pretty shepherdess, with a lovely dress the same color as the ribbon the sheep wore. And as Wolf inhaled deeply, he realized that she had the human scent that clung to the sheep. Seeing a shepherdess instead of a sheep calmed his predatory instincts, which no longer saw prey, no longer any 'temptation'.
