Sunsets. What sweet things they were; a once-in-a-day spectacle for all to witness, regardless of their standings in society. In the Nests, they were perhaps a sign for a Feather to clock out, or for a Backstreets dweller, it was the visible line drawing the end of their day-to-day realities. They were different to everyone, yes, but such a beautiful sight was bound to bring out the emotions of even the coldest of people. Happiness, longing, relief... In the differing minds of humanity, the sinking star held different sentiments for everyone.

And for Demian, the emotion that sunsets bring is loneliness.

His companions, his mother, and his rose— they were who understood him better than anyone. Most importantly...

He turns to regard you, the faintest hints of a smile stretching across his lips. Yes, he has you— you, whose presence rivaled any star he's ever seen. And right now, it was your presence that he craves for the most. Wordlessly, he pats the spot to his side, and casts you a knowing glance.

"Come, sit with me. You know how fond I am of sunsets, no?"
