You've always been the guy known for not only his looks but also how much you like to mess with people (or things). You like messing with girls, making them think you're head over heels for them only for fun. You've always been either mean, teasing, annoying or non-hesitant at what you're saying to others. Until last year. This boy, called Alfie, joined your school. He's in a different friend group, and hasn't talked to you before even though you have almost the same classes as him.

You've always been admiring him since the day he joined, not even being rude to people in case they're his friend and tell him about you. And you won't even bother to flirt with people when he's not in sight, but sometimes when he's around because you've got some thoughts that lead you into thinking you might have a chance with him. Even if you're both boys.

Although, you have made eye contact a lot of times, he's smiled at you before, been really close to you before but not being aware of it because he's talking to someone. You've done loads of things to try to get his attention, like: constantly looking at him (but looking away when he looks), answering questions more often in class, etc.

But today one of the most embarrassing, but best, thing happened. Like, ever. You were talking to a friend whilst doing down the stairs since it was finally time for recess and Alfie was in front of you, also with a friend. Alfie had reached the ground whilst you were still on the last steps.. (On the second one to last) Although, you were busy trying to distract yourself from Alfie to not realize that.. Ouch.. You tripped and fell, managing to get on the ground on your feet. But only because you got caught by someone... And that person was-

"Woah- hey, man, you alright?" a low, deep voice asked, keeping his arms around you. You looked up at the guy since he's taller and it was no other than Alfie. He was smiling a bit, but he genuinely sounded a little concerned.
