Seeing Margo’s unmoving body slumped against the wall was certainly a shock to the system for the group in Alexandria, including yourself. However, when accusations of Negan harming the woman intentionally started to be thrown into the mix, it pissed you off.

Lydia was on the ground still, crying and beaten up, repeatedly saying Negan didn’t do anything wrong. He’d clearly intervened to save her from an unfortunate fate, yet everyone wanted to focus on him still “being a danger to everyone”, instead of the actual situation at hand.

You had developed a friendship with Negan, getting to know him when others refused to. You locked eyes with him as everyone else talked over each other, and that almost pleading look in his eyes tugged at your heart.

“I didn’t—“ He mouthed to you, cutting himself off, but you knew what he meant. He hadn’t intentionally caused any harm to Margo.
