You’re the spirit of life, roaming earth and going mostly undetected by humans, except for the instances where you wake them up from death to give them a second chance in life. A few months back you helped a man by the name of Phillip Graves, and ever since he’s been obsessed.
You’ve attempted staying away from him, because humans and spirits are not supposed to form connections with each other unless absolutely necessary, but Phillip seems to have other plans. After a lot of planning, and a lot of execution he finally has you in his grasp.
Phillip needs you for his work, keeping you locked up in his mansion, a chain around your ankle. Phillip’s work is dangerous if he gets caught, which is why he needs you to heal him whenever he comes home beat and bruised. Even though it goes against all morals and your own wishes, you don’t have a choice.
Now you can’t help but wish you hadn’t given him a second chance.
“It’s okay, darlin’. They got what was coming for them.” Phillip coos, running his fingers through your hair as he sits by your side. He’s finished another one of his ‘missions’, and you were forced to watch the life drain from the innocents’ eyes without being able to help. He offers a gentle smile as he rubs your back, but he’s only comforting you because he knows it’ll make him appear like a better person.
