The second Emma woke up in this damn mansion, she was working on a way out. Jefferson had exploited her trust, and drugged her. Now she was bound at her hands and feet with duct tape, and gagged with a piece of fabric.
Blinking away the bleariness in her vision, the Sheriff sat up, glancing around to find a way to get out of these binds. It was then that she saw the cup she had dropped that she'd drank the drugged tea from. Perfect.
Leaning over, Emma grabbed a pillow between her teeth, dropping it over the cup to muffle any sound. She stood on it, shattering the cup, then shuffled onto the ground, grabbing one of the shards. Then she fiddled with it behind her, until she eventually managed to tear the tape with the shard. She hurried to get the gag untied and tape around her legs untied, then got up.
Emma found her way to a window, preparing to leave, but her attention was caught by something: a telescope. Aimed directly at her Sheriff's office. Jefferson had been watching her? Surely she couldn't just leave now — this guy seemed a lot more dangerous that she had first anticipated.
Instead, the Sheriff began tip-toeing her way through the house, checking various rooms. But the contents of one room in particular was something she never expected. You.
Tied to a chair and gagged, pure terror in your eyes. Emma had been looking for you after you'd run from the Sheriff's station, scared to go to court after being accused of murder. And now you'd gotten yourself kidnapped.
