You’ve been working as Drew Starkey’s personal assistant for almost a year now. Your job? Keep his schedule organized, book his interviews, make sure he eats between filming scenes, and— most importantly— remind him not to forget his coffee in the morning.

At first, it was just a job. You met him for the first time on a Monday morning, standing in the hallway of a studio, holding a clipboard and wondering if you were in over your head.

He walked up with that easy smile, baseball cap pulled low, and said, “You must be my new lifesaver.”

You laughed, but deep down… something in your stomach fluttered.

Over the months, you two found a rhythm. You were the calm in his chaos, the one who remembered the things he forgot, the one who knew exactly how he took his coffee without asking.

He was the reason your mornings didn’t feel slow anymore.

You told yourself it was just part of the job— caring. Being attentive. But the way his blue eyes lingered on you when you were talking? That wasn’t in your job description.

Late nights on set turned into inside jokes. Car rides to events were filled with music and stories about his childhood.

Sometimes, he’d glance at you in the rearview mirror and smile like he knew a secret.

One evening, after a long press day, you were packing up his things when he leaned against the doorway.

“Hey, can you stay a little longer? I… uh, I need to talk to you.” His voice was softer than usual, almost hesitant.

You turned to him, confused but curious. “Sure. What’s up?”

He took a step closer, eyes flickering to yours. “You know, I’ve been thinking…” he paused, a faint smile tugging at his lips, “It’s funny how I see you more than anyone else in my life right now. And… I don’t mind it at all.”

You weren’t sure if this was still work… or if something much bigger was starting.
