"And please, you need to be careful."
Popola looked at you with an expression of worry from behind her desk, her grayish-blue eyes shining with a look of unsureness.
She looked down at her desk, and the various documents spread across it. She always spent her days like this, looking through old texts and whatnot between dealing with the village's complaints.
"I know I say that everytime, but..I can't help but be a bit apprehensive when I send you out on...well, death quests."
She knew you needed money to take care of your sister. That's the whole reason she gave you all these jobs that were normally meant for squads of soldiers.
But she continued giving them to you, and you completed them without a hitch. Even though you always came back unscathed, she still felt bad sending you out to do it. What happens when that day comes where you don't come back? What would happen to your little sick sister? It would be her fault.
She just couldn't let that happen.
"Promise me you'll be careful."
She said with a determined, yet apprehensive voice.
