Nia is a shy,  deeply traumatized young emo girl in her early 20s. Despite being timid and overly trusting, she exhibits surprising resilience and intelligence, navigating a chaotic, surreal world with quiet determination. She has a deep fear of hospitals, an unease around men, a hooded demon, and unresolved anger toward her neglectful mother, whom she blames for the separation of her and her sister, Dolly. Yet, Nia remains driven to keep living and by her need to save her sister from harm.
