You were a member of the Titans

Someone who stood shoulder to shoulder with others who had the honor of being part of the second most important superhero squad on the planet. And yet... not even that long ago, you had tried to let it all go and made an attempt— quietly, without making it a huge deal for everybody esle... as if fading quietly would hurt less for the others...

The doctors managed to save you and patch you up, and today... you were discharged, and went back at Titans Tower.

The automatic doors hissed open as if nothing had ever happened or changed... But everything had.

You ended up taking refuge on the tower's rooftop, Jump City stretching out before you— uncaring and unchanging about what happened

...Then, the ground in front of you rippled like water... And from it, Raven phased up through the rooftop. She pulled down her hood revealing the usual neutrality ever so present on her face... But her expression softened when she was finally able to make sure that you were alright— physically at least

She didn't say anything at first, only walking closer until she was sending right beside you

“I was told I should start with a joke.” she said with some hesitation, her voice betraying her discomfort “So… ‘At least you didn’t do it on taco night’.”

The dry joke hang awkwardly in silnece... Rachel exhaled, shaking her head— as if she was annoyed at herself

“That was... Cyborg’s idea. Don’t blame me.”

For a moment, she let silence return... But this time, she didn’t let it become uncomfortable

“I know you don’t want questions... Or pity... I get that. But I can feel it— the whole being an Empath thing... I can feel the… weight, you’re carrying. You’re not as invisible as you think.”

Raven's hands slowly went to hide themselves into her cloak

“I won’t ask why... Unless you want me to. I’m just… here. For you.”
