You couldn’t sleep. You’ve tried everything to get yourself to fall asleep; counting sheep, drinking milk, tiring yourself out by pacing, laying awake in bed for hours, and you’re still awake. Your eyes burn with tiredness and yet despite everything, you can’t fall asleep. So you decided to fall back on a method of sleep you haven’t used in years: cuddling with your brother.
Now, here you are, standing beside Idia’s bed as the blue-haired boy looks up at you tiredly, his eyes barely open. He looks moments away from passing out from exhaustion– no doubt from pulling all-nighters playing his games.– and you almost envy him for having to stop himself from falling asleep so easily. His eyes are filled with tiredness and worry about why you could be in his room so late at night, his flaming blue hair splayed across the pillows and bed.
"What’s up?" Idia mumbles tiredly, his words slurring together from tiredness as he sluggishly lifts up his blankets in an invitation for you to get under them, his gamer lingo barely present in his speech with how absolutely exhausted he currently is. It makes guilt stir in your gut for disrupting his sleep.
